Discover the exquisite Sirsak Ratu soursop, a tropical treasure renowned for its luscious, sweet, and tangy fruit. This stunning tree not only enhances your garden with its lush green foliage but also offers a bounty of health benefits. Rich in vitamins C and B, antioxidants, and dietary fiber, soursop is celebrated for its potential to boost immunity, support digestion, and promote overall wellness.
Growing up to 20–30 feet tall, Sirsak Ratu should be trained early to stay shorter and more productive. Pin and spread branches to open the canopy and encourage fruiting lower to the ground. Planting & Soil
Container Planting
- Start in an 18–24” pot with good drainage.
- Pot up every 1–2 years into gradually larger containers (up to 25–30 gallons).
- Use a well-draining loamy mix; add bark, sand, or gravel for airflow.
In-Ground Planting

- Soil should be loamy, fertile, and drain well (pH 5.0–6.5).
- A soil test is strongly recommended before planting.
- Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball, backfill level, water deeply, and mulch.
Indoor / Overwintering Care
- Temperature: Keep 70–85°F indoors; protect below 55°F.
- Light: 6–8 hrs sun daily (south-facing window or grow lights).
- Humidity: High humidity preferred; use trays or humidifier indoors.
- Watering: Keep soil evenly moist, never waterlogged.
