PREORDER — Ships Late March 2026 includes 2 bushes- 1 Ouachita & 1 Snowbank
OUACHITA BLACKBERRY
Meet Ouachita, a thornless blackberry that actually pulls its weight. This is a strong, upright berry bush that sets big, dark berries with a sweet, clean flavor. If you’re building a real food garden and not just “yard décor,” Ouachita is the type of plant you want showing up year after year.
Perfect for fences, food forests, and backyard beds, this variety is bred to be productive, easy to harvest, and dependable once it’s established.
Zones: 5–9
Type: Live plant
Growth Habit: Thornless, erect canes
Fruit Color: Deep black
Flavor Profile: Sweet, rich blackberry flavor
Why growers like Ouachita:
-
Thornless canes — easier to pick without getting scratched up
-
Solid yields once established — a good producer for home use
-
Upright growth habit — easier to manage along fences or in rows
-
Perennial — plant once, harvest for years with proper care
-
Self-fertile — you do not need a second variety for fruit
Your plant will ship dormant in late March 2026, timed for spring planting. Dormant plants may look “sleepy” or leafless when they arrive; that’s normal. Once they’re planted and the weather warms, they’ll leaf out and start settling in for long-term production.
Snowbank is a blackberry with a twist — it ripens white, not black. The berries look milky-white on the plant but taste like a classic blackberry without the dark juice that stains fingers, clothes, or countertops. If you like unusual fruit varieties that still deliver familiar flavor, Snowbank is your bragging plant.
This variety performs well in zones 5–9 and does not require heavy chill hours, making it suitable for a wide range of growers. Snowbank tolerates full sun or partial shade and establishes quickly once planted.
Zones: 5–9
Type: Live plant
Growth Habit: Rambling, trailing canes
Berry Color: White when ripe
Flavor Profile: Sweet blackberry taste, low pigment, no staining
Why Snowbank Stands Out
-
White fruit when ripe — a visual surprise in any berry patch
-
Sweet blackberry flavor without dark juice stains
-
Cold tolerant and disease resistant — steady performance once established
-
Fast grower — can begin fruiting the season after planting
-
Rambling canes do well on a trellis or fence line
-
Self-pollinating — one plant will fruit, but adding more increases total yield
Snowbank blooms in spring, and the berries typically ripen in mid-summer — just in time for holiday pies, homemade syrups, or showing off to relatives who swear they’ve “seen everything.”
Your plant will arrive dormant in late March 2026, ready to wake with the season. Dormant arrival is normal — once temperatures rise, Snowbank will leaf out and begin establishing for long-term production.
